  • Lee Aliakbar

    Chief Executive Officer

    Coach Lee has been at the helm of the Toledo Celtics Soccer club since our inception in 1987, and carries a wealth of knowledge, experience and expectations as the C.E.O. of the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club. Coach Lee holds an N.S.C.A.A. Advanced National Diploma since 1991, he was an instructor in NSCAA, has taught F, E, and D license courses for USSF, and has also instructed with Ohio North ODP program. Coach Lee earned 3 Ohio Youth Soccer Association North State Championships in a row in 1997, 1998 and 1999. His team won the most famous cup in the region, “Best of Midwest”. Coach Lee was the Head Varsity Soccer Coach at St. Francis de Sales High School from 2007 to 2017. 

    Coach Lee carries a wealth of playing experience as he was a part of the Under 17 and Under 19 Iranian Junior National teams during his youth career, and then further developed at the professional level with the famous Tehran Javan soccer club in Tehran, Iran. He later joined Persepolis and was coached by Ali Parvin, the Iranian National Team captain in the World Cup of 1978. Coach Lee polished his professional career resume when joining Bonyad Mostazafan.
  • Yousef Aliakbar

    Chief Operations Officer

    Coach Yousef currently holds his USSF C License, USSF D License, USSF E License, USSF Grassroots License, and is currently pursing his USSF B License.

    Coach Yousef has coached for the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club since 2007. He has coached at every level of the including 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11. At Toledo Celtics, Coach Yousef has attained multiple championships at the Local, State, and Regional levels. Additionally, at a National level Coach Yousef led the 2006 Boys Black team to back-to-back National bids in 2023 and 2024, and competed amongst the top 16 teams in the National Premier League.

    Beyond this, Coach Yousef serves on staff at Indiana University's prestigious camps over the summer. These camps collect some of the best young players to learn from great coaches brought in from across the country. The camps also bring in potential IU recruits to tryout for the most decorated Division I soccer program in history.
  • Yadi Aliakbar

    Director of Youth

    Coach Yadi played for Toledo Celtics Soccer Club for 15 years. As a captain, he guided his team to one State Championship, State Finalist. Coach Yadi was among the top 120 players in the United States who trained in Cocoa Beach, FL under USL for the United States National ODP in 2004 and 2005 and he was a member of the Illinois State Team that went to Regionals in 2006 and Ohio North Sate team in 2007. Coach Yadi went on to play collegiately at Owens Community College and Adrian College. Coach Yadi has been coaching at Ottawa Hills High School as the Head Coach of JV boys and Full Time Assistant Coach in the Varsity program, where in 2017, the Ottawa Hills Varsity team reached the final of the State Championship. Coach Yadi recently earned Juris Doctor at the University of Toledo College of Law. He currently holds his USSF D License, USSF E License, USSF Grassroots License, and his Youth 10/12 License as well. 
  • Art Johnson

    Director of High School

    Coach Art Johnson poured his heart and soul into the Owens Community College men's soccer program for 18 seasons. He started the program from the ground up and led the team to a NJCAA #12 National ranking. Since beginning the program in 1998, Coach Johnson led teams, compiling a 207-144-21 overall record. During that time, he coached two NJCAA Athletic All-Americans, 13 NJCAA Academic All-Americans and one NSCAA 2x Athletic All-American. He sent over 30 players to 4-year schools, including 7 players to NCAA Division I schools.

    Additionally, Art has produced 78 All-OCCAC honorees, 54 All-Region XII recipients, 6 OCCAC Offensive Player of the Year winners, 5 OCCAC Defensive Player of the Year honorees, 3 OCCAC Players of the Year, and 3 OCCAC Midfielders of the Year.

    Personally, Johnson was named Region XII Coach of the Year in 2005 when he led the team to a 16-5-2 record and its first ever Region XII championship. The team's season ended in a 1-0 loss to Illinois Central in the district championship game. Prior to Owens, Johnson was a 19-year veteran of the St. John's Jesuit High School soccer program. In 12 seasons as head coach, he compiled a 150-51-20 record, and was named the 1997 Division I Ohio private school Coach of the Year.

    Most recently, Coach Johnson led our Toledo Celtics 2002 Boys to a State Cup Final in 2019, finishing runner-up after a very impressive run.

    Educationally, Coach Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University, and an Associate of Applied Science degree from Monroe Community College Rochester, NY.
